Functional Art creates unique & individual pieces of art that fulfil one of life’s purposes, at the same time as being an aesthetic feature to enjoy.  Most pieces draw on the organic forms of nature, blending & complementing the environment, rather than overpowering it.

All pieces are hand-crafted in the Blue Mountains of Australia, predominately using iron & blacksmithing skills.  Various pieces have combined this medium with superb recycled timber & stone to create a wonderful blend.

Functional Art is constantly adding to its repertoire.  Pieces so far have included door furniture, balustrades & railings, coat & hat racks, garden stands, doors, tables, chairs, magazine racks & garden ornaments.  Additionally, a number of purely artistic pieces of sculpture have been completed with the simple function of pleasing the senses!
